ooc: ooc/ic permissions, first impressions

CONTACT METHODS: Twitter or email are the easiest, please just ask if you don't have either. DMs on Twitter work for me too.
THREADJACKING: This is fine if it's natural to the conversation, though please let me know or ask if it's unclear. On private threads, if you're not mentioned it'd be nice to let me know if you want another character involved.
SLOWTAGGING/BACKTAGGING: I am the president of slowtagging, and I'm absolutely fine with it AS LONG as if we have three threads going you're okay with sitting down and figuring out what happened in threads 1 and 2. I may drop tags that are over about a week and a half old, if you want to keep them going just nudge me.
NSFW: Yes please! I can be nervous about it but indeed.
AVOIDED SUBJECTS: Rape or nonconsensual sex (including foreplay). If this seems like something that is important to the plot and important I be involved in, please please please talk to me about it first - the answer may be yes but I will need to be warned.

IC CHARACTERISTICS: Information for players.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Wren is short for a cis man (5'7) and thin, but his build could appear lanky. On stage he gives the appearance of being much taller. Wren carries himself with confidence and ease, but when offstage, tends to move quietly (see DEMEANOR) and can be very still for long periods. His clothes are usually blacks, whites and metallics with a few splashes of color. They veer to the eccentric and though he mostly saves serious makeup for stage, he's usually wearing eyeliner. He often wears some sort of essential oil (e.g. Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab) as a cologne. His speech is fairly carefully chosen and he has a neutral accent (if anything slightly European sounding), though he speaks Quebecois French and can switch into it if he's feeling inclined.
DEMEANOR: Wren tends to stay quiet when he's observing people he doesn't know. He moves quietly, smooth and decidedly. It will be noticable that he does not break eye contact very often. Similarly, he does not smile -- or at least grin -- easily, his smiles are often restrained and closed mouth, and he's much more visibly sarcastic than pleased. If you get a real grin he's extremely comfortable or very happy. Likewise, he can switch from his usual restrained movement to very flamboyant, forward motion quite easily if he's comfortable with you. Once he's relaxed he can switch from silence to loud opinions or flirtation easily. Wren loves learning, especially new or weird subjects, and if he's writing or reading something new he might disappear off the face of the planet. He's the kind of person to get up at 4 am from a night of hot sex and be writing music with headphones on instead of cuddling the next morning.
PHYSICAL CONTACT: Wren rolls with physical contact pretty easily and might be the one initiating it. Physical closeness is sometimes a better means of communication.
FLIRTING: Pro-flirtation all the way. Wren flirts as a general hello, but he loves banter.

HOME INFORMATION: http://fairywren.dreamwidth.org/1303.html The home post doesn't show it but he has an island-type counter in the kitchen area, a wine rack, and a small dining table with high-backed dining chairs. Across from the music corner he has several fancy chairs and a sofa.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Denigrating the people he cares about. Otherwise, Wren lives on offensiveness, he'll be fine.
ABILITIES: Musical: Wren's a professional musician and can play a number of stringed and keyed instruments. He finds it incredibly easy to pick up new ones. He also sings, and practically speaking has a lot of knowledge of sound boards, amplification, recording etc. As the one who urged the band to stay indie, he also does pretty well on social media even though he likes to keep himself unavailable when he wants to be.
POWERS: Wren is a siren and has pretty traditional siren abilities: charisma, especially while singing, and talent at music. His ability to draw others in with his music is heightened when he's using an instrument. He also has the ability to draw energy from others, especially crowds, to boost his own, and to reflect/variate this psychic energy back: this is something he often doesn't even realize he's doing.
SIREN FORM: His siren form is related to a black cormorant. In his partial form, he gains webbing between fingers and toes, and nearly full wings as well as light feathering elsewhere. His feathers are black-iridescent, almost a green in the light. He does not have good control over siren form at this point in the game and has only really been able to summon it when summoning power to sing or by nearly drowning himself.
IC PERMISSIONS: Permissions for IC activity.
RELATIONSHIP CONTROL: Ria (Hana, Rian) can imply them spending time together. If your character was at a place where Wren was just give me a heads up if you'd like to include something that wasn't explicitly stated, I'm usually pretty flexible on this. For PSLs/AUs/memes just ask if something needs to be assumed, and of course generic plotting is always welcome with discussion.
MENTAL: Please ask me first, probably ok but not w/o discussion, particularly if you want him to actually be fully affected.
FIGHTING/VIOLENCE: I mean, they're welcome to try, but Wren isn't violent and unless it's about someone he loves or the music industry, they're unlikely to succeed in baiting him. He'd almost certainly lose and he knows that.
LURING: Yes, but as he IS a siren, please contact me first to hash out how this would work.
