"I'll have to make a note that your defenses are pretty easy to wear down," Wren teases, though he's at least relatively certain Alex actually wants to be here and isn't just being polite.

"Thank you! There's a time and a place for both, I think," Wren says, taking the wine with an eyebrow raise at a higher quality vintage than he's used to, and finding a couple wine glasses to at least have out. "This is Inari," he adds with a nod. "Usually she's much louder about making herself known, but far be it for me to think I can predict her." It's a fond pronouncement. At the moment, the white fox-y dog has settled in to being petted, wagging her tail at Alex in a decisively affectionate gesture.
