Wren says very little in the name of being polite, and certainly not twice. (In the name of flustering Alex, which is proving to be relatively easy -- and yet still entertaining -- possibly. But he genuinely wants to spend more time with him, possibly not while everyone's forced into small talk and spending too much money.)
He looks up from his keyboard at the knock on the door and crosses the room to answer it. Inari follows, wagging her tail. "You be good," he tells her and opens the door. Seeing Alex waiting prompts a pleased smile. "Hi." He leans on the doorframe. "I'm glad you came over."
"Come on in." He gestures over elaborately. "Welcome to the -- humble abode? Den of iniquity?" He shrugs, smirking. "I hope you don't mind dogs. She'll settle in a minute."
